At Aus Auto Detailing in Sydney, we want to make our deposit terms as clear and straightforward as possible to ensure a smooth booking experience for our valued customers. Please take a moment to review the following important details:

1. Purpose of Deposit
To secure your appointment and reserve workshop time, Aus Auto Detailing requires a deposit for all bookings. The deposit helps cover administrative costs, scheduling commitments, and losses that may result from late cancellations or non-attendance.

2. Deposit Requirement
A deposit of 50% of the estimated total service cost is required to confirm and schedule your booking. Your appointment is only confirmed once the deposit is received.

3. Payment Methods
Deposits may be paid by approved electronic payment methods, including credit card and bank transfer following an emailed invoice.

4. Cancellations and Refunds 

• Cancellation or rescheduling with 48 hours' notice or more:
  Full deposit refund or, at the customer's election, application of the deposit to a rescheduled booking.
  
  
• Bookings made more than 48 hours in advance:
  If you cancel or reschedule your appointment in less than 48 hours without any weather disruption, a charge of 50% of the estimated service cost will apply. Where a 50% deposit has been paid, the deposit may be retained and applied toward that charge.
  
  
• Bookings made within 48 hours:
  If you cancel or reschedule your appointment in less than 24 hours without any weather disruption, a charge of 50% of the estimated service cost will apply. Where a 50% deposit has been paid, the deposit may be retained and applied toward that charge.
  
  
• On-site cancellation, non-attendance or inaccessible vehicle:
  If the detailers are already on site and you cancel or reschedule without any weather disruption, or if you are not present at the agreed time and location, or the vehicle cannot reasonably be accessed for the booked service, a charge of 80% of the estimated service cost may apply in accordance with the Aus Auto Detailing Cancellation / Rescheduling terms. Any deposit already paid may be applied toward that charge.
  
  
• Bad weather:
  If bad weather conditions prevent the service from proceeding and you cancel or reschedule your booking without the required notice period, no cancellation fee will apply and your deposit will be refunded or credited toward a rescheduled appointment.
  
  
• Business-initiated cancellation:
  If Aus Auto Detailing cancels or is unable to perform the service (including due to weather conditions, equipment failure, staff illness, staff availability, safety concerns, vehicle access issues or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control), you will be offered:
  
        ● a full refund of any deposit or amount paid for services not provided; or
        ● the option to reschedule at no additional cost.
  
  
• Genuine pre-estimate of loss:
  Any cancellation or rescheduling charges are not intended to operate as a penalty. They represent a genuine pre-estimate of the costs and losses likely to be incurred by Aus Auto Detailing arising from late cancellation, rescheduling or non-attendance, including labour scheduling, travel costs, administration costs, equipment allocation and loss of booking opportunities. These charges will not exceed the reasonable costs and losses incurred by Aus Auto Detailing as a result of the cancellation, rescheduling or non-attendance.

5. Discretionary Waivers
Cancellation fees may be waived at the owner's discretion in cases of genuine unforeseen circumstances (e.g. medical emergency, severe weather). Requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis and a response provided within a reasonable time.

6. Consumer Guarantees
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any rights or remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), including consumer guarantees relating to acceptable quality and fitness for the purpose of services supplied.

7. Payment Security
Aus Auto Detailing does not store customers' credit card details. Payments are processed using secure payment systems.
